Bumbershoot
Photo: The Lonely Forrest playing at Bumbershoot 2006
I wanted to make one last post about Bumbershoot this year. One of Seattle's best music festivals, Bumbershoot is definately worth checking out. The Shins, Wu-Tang Clan, Panic! At the Disco and many more have all been confirmed so far, but this is more than just a summer concert. This three day festival includes live music, comedians, dance performances, theater and much more. If you go, be sure to take your time at this event and wander around the Seattle Center taking in everything that Bumbershoot has to offer.
Keep visiting Bumbershoots web site for more updates!
Future at Seattle SPI
Just wanted to let everyone know that this summer I will be writing an online column for the Seattle Post Intelligencer's new web site SPI. The Column will review live music, recommend restaurants and bars and much much more. Because that will take up so much of my time, I'm afraid I will not be able to continue this blog. But if you still want to hear what I think about Seattle Music scene, check the Seattle PI's web site here and visit SPI when the site is launched!

Amber Pacific and Melee
This was a great show. Unfortunately the time was posted differently on different band's websites so I arrived very late, missing Search/Rescue and Monty are I. However Melee and Amber Pacific more than made up for it. I've been pretty attached to Melee's latest record, Devils and Angels and it sounded amazing life. What's more, the band's upbeat energy and was contagious. The vocals were gorgeous and I didn't want the set to end. Luckily, after it did, Amber Pacific took the stage and played a great set. The majority of the crowd were fans of theirs who had never heard the new album live, and the band blew them away.
Unfortunately Melee won't be back in town anytime soon, but you can see Amber Pacific on June 16 at The Showbox.
